Red Hot Monday

January 26, 2010
Tuesday 2:41pm
New Manila, Quezon City

Some friends would tell me "what you wear will build up your mood for the day". It's what I always think of every morning before I go to shower and think, "Oh, what will I wear today?"

Yesterday, I thought of having something that will start the week right. We'll be off for another brainstorming and we are running late on our deadline. Scarce from manpower, my team almost always do everything at one time. So I said to myself, "I needed something to start the day and keep it at high momentum." So I had this printed dress given by my sister which she bought from Forever 21 last Christmas. And I remember her saying she got it at extremely discounted price meaning: 90% off! Imagine? Still, I was very happy to have it because it was nice for me and I really don't mind whether it was pricey or not. Thing is, I know it suits me and I felt right about it. Since it has red prints, I matched it with my red suede shoes I bought at a shop in Timog and my small bag given to me by my friend from Italy. Put them together with the right make-up and kaboom! We made a really fantastic day.

Just wanna sleep after a tiring day.

Colors can make magic and I want to believe that we finished 3 concepts in one seating because of all the colors happening around, the ambiance of sitting at BK (again) and the spacious and conducive atmosphere we had that afternoon :)

Martina Claire's Christening

January 26, 2010
Tuesday 2:01pm
New Manila, Quezon City

I attended the christening of Martina Claire, she is the daughter of a very good gimik and drinking gal friend of mine from DPC. And since I was attending an occasion welcoming a very young fellow, I decided to put on a very hip-ripped sleeveless gray dress with button details and a pocket. It's ripped at the back and can be adjusted as a long blouse too! Just pull back the string and tada! you'll have a blouse that's so comfy. It's made of cotton and it's fabric is soft so you don't have to worry of sweating out.

I paired it with a black leggings and a rubber sneaker so I can also a have a long walk after the christening if I want to. These outfits are just one of my mixed-and-matched clothes from my small closet. :) And I got them at a very affordable price! Doesn't have to be pricey to be hip, right?

January 23, 2010 (Saturday)

Well, as for last Satuday, it's all but relaxed clothing for me---para lang mamalengke. But I'm not going to post what I wore on that day as I found something more exciting during my Divi adventure with my cuz. We went to find a wedding souvenir for out Tito when I came across with this gold, strappy, high-heeled shoes just right outside Tutuban Mall. It was sitting on its box when it caught my attention. The hanging carton tag says: “P180.” I went to check it out, it was one of those Korean shoes sold in many Tiangge around the Metro. But then, it doesn't look like cheap shoes. And when I tried to fit it, tada! I didn't want to take them off my feet anymore. I was so excited to take them home. I tried to ask for discount but the owner didn't agree. Haha, I tried to take them down with P150 but it was no good. And since I really would love to have those shoes, I just didn't mind if it's P180. Anyway, when you check them out in bazaars or tiangge in those malls, you'll find them twice more expensive than taking them from Divi. So what do you say? Aren't they good finds and good buy?

Casual Friday

January 26, 2010
Tuesday 1:50pm
New Manila, Quezon City

Hi peeps! Sorry if I haven't been updated since Friday. (Asus! As if naman, may readers na ko, hehehe!) The internet connection at home sucks and I just can't upload from the office even on my breaks since I don't really get my breaks. My deadlines are up to my head!!!

Anyway, I was on my most comfortable casual dress down last Friday: A gray sleeveless hooded blouse from G2000 which I got on sale from Rob Place Manila years, years back. Paired with a maong skirt I got from ukay-ukay shop in Pedro Gil, Malate. I like to wear something like these towards the end of the week to ease up the pressures at work I got during the week. I walked my way to get a ride back home with a brown rubber sneakers. I also let my hair down as the weekend approaches to an end. It's important that I'm on comfortable work clothes as I am always out on field hunting for clients. Something that's not too lax to be comfortable but something that's still presentable even for a Friday.

Brainstorming with colleagues

January 22, 2010
Friday 9:29am
New Manila, Quezon City

Damn, the internet connection didn't work right last night. I was connected but it was only up to the homepage of blogger. The connection was soooooo S L O W. Been waiting for the line to pick up its speed but it's been like ages. So, I gave up. Anyway, I was out yesterday for a meeting with my colleagues. We went to a very nice fastfood in E. Rodriguez Ave for our "brainstorming." Me and my colleagues took a walk from the office. I was walking on my platform, suede brown shoes which I love so much. This kind of shoes makes me feel sexy even if I've been really plump these days. I also slipped into a yellow-and-pink RRJ dress which I got back in late '99 and it's still with me! I put on a brown belt I bought from Thailand while I was on a vacation and matched my whole statement with a brown bag from Quiapo.

My January 21, 2010 statement (that's yesterday!)

Courtesy of Friends

January 20, 2010
Wednesday 8:19pm
Malate, Manila

I've been trying to connect to the internet from my dorm since last night and it's always been a bad connection with Globe. OMG! can you believe that? I don't know if this provider is just not cooperating with me or it's just really a bad service. But anyway, I'm not going to write about my disappointments with this provider as I'm here only to share about my fashion statement for the day---courtesy of a few good friends who are not tired of giving gifts without occasion. Thank you my friends, and for that, I really feel special.

I'd like to feel sexy and attractive so I've put on a black and white tube dress courtesy of friends and former colleagues with a white bolero. I walked with a black and silver, one-toe slip on which, again, was given by a friend. And today, I also curled up my hair for a new, different look to contrast the "antique" ambiance of my workplace.

Gray and Blue

January 19, 2010
Wednesday 10:00am
New Manila, Quezon City

Here's my first post for my blog "my fashion, my statement". I'm just a simple working girl. Not a fashionista but really loves clothes and shoes---especially shoes! I practically wear anything for as long as I am comfortable with it. I'm not a brand conscious person but I do look for quality. Most of my clothes are in my closet for years and years. I just take care of them very well and mix and match anything that I find interesting. Managing your closet shouldn't be so hard. Just keep everything color coded. That's how I do mine.

Photobucket

Here's my yesterday's (Jan. 18) statement: A skyblue mid-rib blouse from Landmark Department Store, gray skirt from Divisoria and a dark gray drape vest from Get Laud. I put on a 4-5 year old brooch together with my vest so that my tummy won't be exposed. Then I slipped into a Le Donne turquoise colored, stone-studded flats matched with a light blue bag from a tiangge shop in Rob Place Manila. My bracelet was custom-made by a client of mine who has a shop in Raon 7 years back.
