BREAKFAST AT MCDONALDS MARKET MARKET!

I was having a bad morning. It took forever to get to Global City and the weather was scorching hot at this early time of the day. Not to mention the jeepney that I rode into had a driver who's freaking "dupang" (greedy) for passengers that we almost look like steaming siomai with the hot breeze of the wind outside. The old man sitting beside me was sweating with his two-rolls, four-feet high plastic roll. I was at the right side of the jeep just right at the back of the passenger seat beside the driver's. So greedy that even asked for another P2.00 for a ride to Global that normally costs only P8.00. I didn't want to rant but okay, I gave him the coins just for him to move on. I thought, I'm getting tired of this daily commute, I better be getting a decent car one way or another very soon! The worst thing is that a ride that normally takes less than 30 minutes lasted for an hour and a half because of the effin traffic in J.P. Rizal. In my approximation, that's just less than a kilometer to Guadalupe. Fuck that! yeah, I'm using the F-word. What the hell was that? People, instead of moving up keeps on stalling the way every freaking day.

So when I arrived at Market, Market! it was like noon time when in truth it's only half past ten. I looks like I took a jog at Baywalk from Pedro Gil to CCP with the kind of sweat I feel running from my front hairline down to my cheek. And I wanna shout because of thirst, I had to drop by somewhere where I can take a drink. Jollibee was full of people that seems to be falling in line forever. McDonalds was the same but at least they have people on every til and the line was running. So I decided to grab a quick breakfast and ordered Sausage McMuffin with egg and hot choco. I asked for a cup full of ice and poured the hot choco. Ahhh, that was quenching! While I was devouring my sandwich, I saw a couple sitting at the corner beside the entrance. Looks like they just got out from work at a call center at Market Market! I could not hear their voices because I had my earpieces stuck in my ears with the song "Kay Sarap" by The Boss on the background. The guy kissed her girl and the girl smiled. I secretly smiled and suddenly the bad morning was gone. I started to look around for some more heartwarming things to see. I have noticed these kids at the back of the till assisting the crew when I was ordering my breakfast and somewhere at each of the corners of the fastfood are moms excitingly watching out for their kids at work. One mom even sport a camera like a papparazzi. And I could understand why. Somewhere in my heart I thought my pamangkins should do something like that for summer or, if I would have a child of my own, I'll definitely let them join an activity like this.

So, in just less than five minutes, I finished my breakfast. Did I say I devoured them? I walked past Serendra to my office carrying a little spark in my heart that it was not a bad morning afterall. Above, I wanna share with you the audio of the song I was hearing all along while seeing all these beautiful things and eating my breakfast.

I'M IN LOVE WITH A PARISIAN. NO, MAKE IT TWO!

When I took my leave from blogging to attend to family emergency, I have worn myself out. It's double-stress as my youngest brother went missing for a few days after a disagreement with him and my other brother was in an accident a day before the EDSA anniversary.

So, as soon as my brothers are back in their shapes, the other came home from the hospital and the other came back and kept his head straight, I went to Baguio for a weekend to attend the wedding of my good friends, Robin and Emily. Well, of course, the de-stressing didn't actually start in Baguio but in buying those lovely pairs of shoes from Parisian.

I started buying shoes last February because I didn't have decent shoes left. And I might have done a little splurging here but I thought, I'm not buying the shoes only because I was de-stressing but because I actually need them. These are good buys not only because they are affordable (that's why I bought two pairs) but also because the shoes are actually light, they don't drag your feet down when you walk. You may think they're bulky or heavy but they are not. And the soles are actually soft as compared to the old Parisian shoes that I had before. This is my first time in years that I bought this brand and I could say that it has been better. My friend Denise has been telling me they're good because, if I may say, she's a sucker for Parisian shoes. But I continued to ignore her until I had these in February. And she was right. These are good buy: fashionable, light and trendy.

In fact, I wore one of them on my friends' wedding. I was atrociously fat on the wedding pics but it didn't matter because I was really having fun with my friends. And can you tell? The wedding was Filipiniana-themed but here we are, sporting our mini-dresses. The bride defended our outfits to be "modern filipiniana." Hahaha.

MY SISTER MADE ME DO THIS

There's a time when I would ask my sister how do I look in the outfit that I chose in the morning before going to work. She's my worst critique you know, because we'd always have different outlook on how to sport an outfit. But on this particular post, I guess she had her point.

Imagine me on this outfit plus the black inner tube and a black leggings. What do you see?

Black bolero - Mint
Olive dress - F21/gifted
Bag - 50th Avenue at Robinson's
Black booties - Parisian
Well, she told me I was like a (milk) maid who has taken out her uniform for a day off. God, how cruel was that? Since I felt like my body's out of proportion because of over-eating, I thought of hiding the bulges by wearing black. And this particular outfit was way too much for me even if in the past, I this would make me feel like flattering. But I thought it's not flattering at all but flubby. Huhuhu. But hey, my sister had her point, right? Not too bad at all, don't you think?

By the way, me and my friend were hunting for our dinner when we stumble on this Body Shop booth. It's on sale and we had the most sparkling eyes that night! So we sat on their booth and asked the beauty consultant to give us a quick make-over. I tried on Flawless Skin Protecting Foundation No. 5 with SPF 25. Me and my friend decided to avail the buy one, take one promo for only P1,250 and we splitted the bill. So I got myself a new foundation for only P625. Good buy, eh? There's a few more items that I'd like to get but, I restrained myself because I might end up over-spending, yay!

Here's what I want to get next time: the Baked bronzer

Italian Baked Bronzer.  Natural looking, handmade and slow-baked for up to eight (8) hours of deliciously rich color.  Perfect for sun-kissed glow.  And perfect for my morena like me!

At this point, we forgot our dinner because it was getting late. Argh! girls...totally forgot dinner over make ups. Hahaha.

I'M BACK, I'M BACK!

Hi again everyone,

"LIVE THE LIFE OF A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN"

Hello everyone! I'm back to blogging. It's been a while since I last wrote for my blog and as you can see, I'm giving it a new name. Why? Well, after all that's happened to me in a couple of months, I thought there's just more that I'd like to share other than my usual outfit posts or my fashion statement. So it's just fitting to give it a new name. I'm not moving though. Just renaming my blog. I hope that my readers would give the same support that they gave me :)

"Vivere La Vita Da Bella Donna," or "Live the life of a beautiful woman", as translated in english, is the new face of my blog. I love everything Italian. And it's my Italian friend who made me realize a different way to look at a beautiful woman. I used to think that they're the ones you see on Philippine TV commercial: someone with fair skin, long legs, and skinny body. Then when he made me look through his eyes - of what a beautiful woman is for him and I saw a lot more than what I used to see on TV as a kid.

Overcoming the past months made me doubt if I still have to go back to blogging talking about my own fashion statement and my own perspective of what a girl would love to see. For a moment, I felt terrible about myself and spiking my moods everywhere. It's my best friend who kept me straight. I've never seen such a great positivity in life than his. So I decided to come back to writing - well, blogging for that matter - and rename it with a question in mind: "If my best friend let me see what a beautiful woman is for him, how would a beautiful woman live like?" I really didn't know if that was a sensible question to ask and if that's a sensible topic to start with as a first entry on my newly-renamed blog but then, I kept on thinking, how did every beauty live like? And what would it be to live like one? And why am I asking that to myself? Well, because at some point, maybe I really didn't consider to live like one or to feel like one.

Now here's the point that I'd like to encourage you, my readers to join me into this everyday discovery. These past few days, I've been seeing a lot of love, beauty and positivity that I only got to share thru my tweets and facebook stats. I wish I have shared them here too but then, I know I'll find more everywhere. So, I hope you'll enjoy my newly-renamed blog, of course, with my usual outfit posts in the next few days. It grown to be a bit better than what I used to share and I am just so excited to write again. Those who want to share their own perspective may do so. After all, this is what the world wide web is all about.
